Lanzarote Non-Stop: Countdown

Could you walk the entire coastline of Lanzarote relentlessly? 4 athletes have been proposed to do it this weekend in Lanzarote Non-Stop, an endurance race of 200 km roads and paths that exceed 40 hours expected.

Jose Miguel Gutierrez, Jose Francisco Godoy, Matias Machin and Baudilio Rodriguez will test their training in this race to be held for the first time this year. The tour will pass through the seven island municipalities and its tourist centers and natural landscapes.

The signal to start will be given at 05:00 am on Friday, August 5th, in the city of Arrecife. From there, they lead to Costa Teguise. Following the coastline pass through Ancones, Mala, Arrieta and Punta Mujeres to Órzola.

After the first provisioning, the runners will go to the Town of Yé and then descend the cliff of Famara. To run by Caleta de Caballo, La Santa, Tenesa, Las Malvas and the town of El Golfo will spend all the night, runners hope to see dawn in Playa Blanca.

From there, the last obstacle to get to Torre Quemada will be Los Ajaches. From Puerto del Carmen, amateur runners can accompany these marathon on the promenade, Playa Honda, El Cable until Arrecife. Amateur athletes have to be ready at 1:00 pm on Saturday.

The Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the City of Arrecife has organized a special day for all those athletes and fans who want to join in this adventure in the latter part of the tour.
